Chess With Friends Classic App Reviews

I used to love this app. It was very good at what it used to do, that is: chess. Id been using this app for years. There were glitches now and then, but nothing is supposed to be perfect. But unfortunately, some very nasty piece of tree trunk up their b•••• they really destroyed their app. Now this horrible application just keeps getting in your way. For allowing me to play chess for free, it wants me to sign my soul off to it. It wants to know my Facebook account, my email account and the color of my underpants! Apparently, one thing that they have retained from the past is bugs! Apart from the usual bugs( for example when the app gets closed during submission of a move your account get screwed, there is this new bug, when you are in landscape mode and the ad is thrown at your face, there is no way to skip it to get back to the app. You have to restart the app if you hadnt given up already. No matter what, I still havent given up on this app, which is obvious by this review!

Therefore only one star. I will rate every version with my three accounts one star as long as those reminders come regularly. They dont stop even if you rated the current version already.

Even if you voted already, those reminders keep on coming. Only one star because of that.

Worked fine for a few days, then constant "server is busy, please try again in a few moments", now no possibility anymore to find opponents and create/accept games. Bug fix would be nice!

Good and simple application, works also on ipad

It has one major flaw which annoys me quite a bit: if you dont make a move for a few days, you automatically resign

Great game if your into chess. I have multiple games going. Easy to use.

A great way to spend a few hours and exercise the old grey matter.

Every time i do a move, it pops up an add. Its really annoying and i dont want to pay $2 to get a upgrade on a crappy game. It takes 2 hours for the person to respond and its not entertaining at all.

To many adds, you ask for to much private info and claim right to keep it, make to difficult to get it destroyed and force updates and features that are not needed or even wanted! Used to be a really good games developer, now just an private info collector in disguise!

Besides the ads it a good app

Doesnt always update the other players move. Constantly have to reload the app. ( double click home button and swipe away.) dont mind the ads but would be nice if it wasnt so expensive to get rid of them. Would gladly pay $5 or less...

Very good game

I like it, theres a good pool of people to play with of all levels, especially lower, lower mid levels players like myself. A great place to learn, practice and get playing experience before moving on to a more serious level of play. Everyone should play chess and this app makes that a possibility. Chess games are a huge time commitment and I get why you wouldnt want to just start playing irl but this is a great way to stay in the loop chess wise. And its a great way to tell if youre distracted, in a game that rewards full concentration
